如果你想要强调网络上的走红，英语中有个表达叫做go viral。

viral的本意就是病毒的，go viral像病毒一样广泛的传播，这不就是“网络上走红”吗？管你是黑红还是粉红，go viral都能够涵盖。

But this past weekend, the app went viral.

上周末，这款应用突然爆红。

The tweet - and the discussion it started - went viral.

这条推文以及由此引发的讨论迅速登上热门。

“热单”英语怎么说？

描述热门单曲，电影等英语中最常用到的一个英语单词就是hit。

If a CD, film, or play is a hit, it is very popular and successful.

hit有撞击的意思，你就想这个东西红的飞速，好像火星撞地球，chua一声就火了。

The song became a massive hit in 1945.

这首歌在1945年风靡大江南北。

* 这句表达是不是咱们中文中经常说，现在就可以记住它的英文了，a hit/a massive hit。

美国音乐排行榜billboard，如果要说上面的热点（热门单曲），英语可以说：Billboard hit songs.

“名声大噪”的英语表达

和它类似的一个英语表达sensation也可以表示大热，大火，但是sensation也可以用于描述人。

If a person, event, or situation is a sensation, it causes great excitement or interest.

sensation通常表示造成轰动，强烈引发别个的兴趣。

The film turned her into an overnight sensation.

这部电影使她一夜间名声大噪。

* overnight sensation是个超级高频的英语搭配，不仅仅可以描述人，你也可以描述一部影片是overnight sensation，总之一夜之间火遍大江南北就可以用这个表达啦。
